Tetsuya: All-Night Sitting & Founder's Sunrise Ceremony - ON SITE

In the spirit of Buddha’s enlightenment, on Friday night we will be in tetsuya, which means we will “sit through the whole night,” from 12:00 am to 4:00 am. $25 admission. Open to the public.

7:00 pm Check-in (If you cannot check in at 7:00 pm, please arrive for 8:50 pm instructions.)

7:30–8:50 pm Zazen / Kinhin / Zazen

8:50 pm Instruction (Abbot speaks about midnight sitting guidelines and placards.)

9:00 pm–11:45 pm Rest (A room will be assigned to you.)

12:00–3:50 am Tetsuya

3:50 am Recite Atonement Verse

4:00 am Tea in the Sangha House & Rest

5:15 am Zazen

5:50 am Recite Robe Verse

6:00 am Procession to Stupa

7:30 am Breakfast
