Student talk will be given by Mike Genrei Persinger, a student of Kwong-roshi, following 10:30 am zazen. Mike has been a student of Kwong-roshi since 2011. He is a dad, husband, and public school teacher. Mike took the jukai precepts in 2014. For eight years he was the co-coordinator of SMZC Kids' Community. In 2018 he was selected for a Sonoma County Excellence in Education award. Mike has been running for more than 30 years, is a national beer judge, and is a beginning skateboarder.
