Talk will be given by Kanzenchi Peter Pocock. Kanzenchi has been a student of Kwong-roshi since 2007, served as shuso for the summer ango in 2017, and received priest ordination in early 2020. With his wife Nancy Seiki Reder, in 2011 he co-founded the Del Ray Zen Community, a SMZC-affiliated sitting group in Alexandria, VA. A labor union leader and activist since the late 1970s, he has worked as a cabinet maker, journalist, book editor, multimedia developer, and briefly as English-language secretary to the Turkish ambassador in Taiwan. Talk will follow the 10:30am zazen period.
