Jukai (To Receive The Precepts) - ON SITE (in Zendo)
Please join us for our Jukai Ceremony. Jukai is the ceremony of formally becoming a Buddhist and of taking the 16 Bodhisattva precepts as guidelines for life. Free admission. Open to the public. Please bring celebratory snacks/finger food.

About This Event
Jukai literally means "to receive the precepts." Abbot Nyoze Kwong-roshi will offer the precepts to the students in the traditional Buddhist Refuge Ceremony. Jukai is the ceremony of formally becoming a Buddhist and of taking the 16 Bodhisattva precepts as guidelines for life. Reception to follow at 2:45 pm. All are welcome: Invite family and friends to witness this special ceremony!
Free admission. Open to the public. Donations are appreciated. Please bring celebratory snacks/finger food (e.g., cake, pie, cookies, crackers/cheese, fruit and drinks) for potluck reception.
