In the spirit of together-action, come help breathe new energy into the center with friends and families of the Sonoma Mountain Sangha. Bring a pair of work gloves if you have them. Vegetarian lunch will be provided afterwards. RSVP to offer your hands of compassion!

About This Event
Our next Workfest will focus on the heart of our practice—the Zendo. Together we will undertake a deep, hands-on cleaning as we prepare the Zen Center for the auspicious completion of the Sanmon Mountain Gate, a project 50 years in the making, and for the ceremonial opening this September. We look forward to welcoming friends from around the world as we celebrate this important milestone and the beginning of a new chapter in the Center's mission.
In Zen, Samu is more than volunteering. It is practice in action—the natural companion to zazen. Through wholehearted engagement with a task, we let go of the separation between self and activity, giving ourselves completely to the work at hand. In this way, caring for the temple is also an opportunity to deepen our own practice.
