About Speaker: Kogen Czarnik is a Soto Zen priest in the lineage of Tangen Harada Roshi. He started practice in 2004 in Poland, where he belonged to the Polish Kannon Sangha and practiced with Jakusho Kwong Roshi. After graduating from college he left to Japan in 2008 where he was ordained under Tangen Harada Roshi at Bukkoku-ji monastery. He spend over a decade in traditional Zen training, practicing at Bukkoku-ji, Sogen-ji and received his priest training at Tosho-ji senmon sodo where he served as shuso. Over the years, he also frequently visited Rinso-in temple to assist with seasonal ceremonies. He received shiho and completed zuise ceremonies in the years 2022 and 2023 respectively. Kogen…
