Saturday Community - On Site

Shuso talk will be given by Brian Seido Watson. He has been a student of Jakusho Kwong roshi since 2004 and received Jukai from him in 2014. Finding SMZC as a freshman at Sonoma State University, he has returned to the mountain periodically for retreats and sesshin. Brian lived at SMZC as a resident from 2013-2014 and served as Shika during that time. Originally from Boston, MA he now lives and works in the mountains west of Denver, CO. He maintains that zazen, like breathing, is both deeply personal and at the exact same time profoundly universal.
